Swan Valley Achiever (co-owed with Ngullaminya Alpacas)
Achiever is an imposing white male with seven championship ribbons to his credit:
- Reserve Junior Champion Male 2002 Whiteman Show
- Intermediate Champion Male 2002 Kelmscott Show
- Intermediate Champion Male 2002 Perth Royal Show
- Intermediate Champion Male 2002 AAA National Show
- Adult Champion Male 2002 Albany Show
- Reserve Adult Champion Male 2003 Fairbridge Show
- Mature Champion Male 2003 Albany Show
Achiever is a four-year-old solid white male. He is by the successful sire Shanbrooke Elite (winner of eight championship ribbons in animal and fleece classes) and from the outstanding family of Purrumbete High Priestess (IAR A2415). High Priestess is the matriarch of elite animals such as Forestglen Pendragon (recently sold at the 2004 AAA National auction for $75,000 to the UK), Forestglen Plutach, Forestglen Pizazz, Swan Valley Elegance and Swan Valley Super Elegant.
A leading pedigree analyst, Matt Ridley, considers that Achiver's sire is out of the most successful female line in Australian Alpaca history - Purrumbete Showpiece. Showpiece is the matriarch of elite animals such as Purrumbete Bright Star, Shanbrooke Society Lass and Shanbrooke Society Attraction.
We purchased Achiver for his imposing frame, heavy bone, well sprung rib cage, loose & thin skin, long staple length and his ultra-soft deep crimping fleece.
